So many Weston announcements! [UPDATED]

July 10, 2012

We’re now four weeks from our first rehearsal, and there are a few more updates to make before we head up to Vermont!

I’m excited to get to share so many exciting Pregnancy Pact developments all in one post!  We’re just about 9 weeks away from our first day of rehearsal in Weston (not that I’m counting…) and everything is falling into place.

Julia and I are pleased to announce that Joe Calarco is on board to direct the production!  He’s directed some of my favorite things I’ve seen in New York like Sarah, Plain and Tall in 2006 at the Lortel, Burnt Part Boys last year at Playwrights Horizons, and an amazing reading of The Mysteries of Harris Burdick (also at Playwrights.)  He’s worked with some of our favorite writers around (Chris Miller & Nathan Tysen, Sara Cooper & Zach Redler, Adam Gwon) at theaters all over the country (Signature Theatre in D.C., Barrington Stages, Dallas Theatre Center.)  We’re lucky to have him on board!

And we’ve got a design team!  Timothy Mackabee (Associate Set Designer for Fela!), Jennifer Caprio (Costume Designer of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Joel Shier (Associate Lighting Designer for Ghost and Godspell), and Ed Chapman (Sound Engineer at Clybourne Park, Sound Designer at Weston Playhouse and Barrington Stage Company) will be creating our little world and we couldn’t be happier.  Check out their websites to see some of their amazing work!

Rich Silverstein is back again to direct things musically, and he’ll be playing with a band that includes Anthony Rubbo, Lorenzo Wolff, Sean Hagerty, Ro Rowan, and Jeremy Yaddaw.

Oh yeah.  We have a cast, too!  We’re so excited to work with these 7 wonderful actors – some old friends, some brand new to us.  They are (in order of the headshots to the left…):

MaddieCaitlin Kinnunen (Spring Awakening, Next to Normal tour)
BrynnMargo Seibert (In This House at Two Rivers, Candide at the Goodman)
Kaylee – Katrina Rose Dideriksen (Things to Ruin, Bloodsong of Love)
Jeanelle – Dana Steingold (…Spelling Bee tour)
Cory/Justin – Jed Resnick (Avenue QRent tour)
SansaneeKrystina Alabado (Spring Awakening tour, American Idiot)
Jenn – Lauren Marcus (Rewrite at Urban Stages)
